The group diary is a read. It shows counts, gaps and exceptions per branch with a way into that branch's own calendar, and every booking is still made there. Nothing at group level books, so nothing at group level can double-book.

Does every location need the same services and hours?
No. Services, prices, opening hours and the booking page are set per location, and a customer gets that location's real availability.
Can I work across every branch at once?
Yes, for the operational surfaces: what needs a person, the inbox, opportunities, reports and the diary. Configuration stays per branch, because a greeting and a set of opening hours belong to one location.
Can I book into another branch's diary from the group view?
No, and that is deliberate. The group diary is a read with a way into each branch's own calendar, so every booking happens on one calendar through the same safe path.
How is Groups priced?
Groups is priced per group rather than from a published list, because included locations and rollout differ. Core and Growth include one and two locations, with further locations available as an add-on.
